Then look at your closet for an old long sleeves shirt that you can wear while working. A protective eyewear or a construction eyeglass is also important as well.

There is a kind of paint that you can remove just by using water. Just simply wash it with warm soapy water or use a hose then you can easily strip it to reveal the bare concrete wall or wood. • A couple of small plastic bags must be handy. Just in case someone knocks at the door or the phone rings, you don’t have to spread the paint all over the knobs and other parts of the house because you have the plastic bags keeping the mess in your hand alone.
• Leftover paints must be store upside down so there won’t be a plastic-like skin forming at the top of the paint.

• Create an illusion that you have a bigger space by putting vertical stripes. This would make your ceiling appear higher than it is.

There is no need to ditch your carpet if it got burnt accidentally by your husband’s cigarette or your kid played with the magnifying lens. Here the steps that would help you repair that burnt part of your carpet in no time at all.

1. Starting from the edge of the burn, measure 2 inches and start cutting the burnt area with a sharp knife. Be careful not to ruin the other part of your carpet.
2. Use this to create a template so you can cut from an old carpet or in some parts of the same carpet that is not usually seen.
3. By the help of a glue gun, set the new patch in its place.
4. To hide the seam and blend the fiber, try using a carpet tractor.
